 What is Happiness ?

It is sure that atleast once during lifetime a simple but meaningful question arises that what is the purpose of our life? The obvious answer is happiness.

We think happiness is that moment when everything goes according to our expectations. But if the expectations are not fulfilled, we tend to get disappointed. Most of the youngsters are in the dream world and they are not ready to  accept  the real fact. They want the real fact to be as they dream about. Hence nobody is happy as it never happens in one's life.

During our childhood, we find happiness in playing with toys, balloons, etc. As we grow old, i.e., Teenage, our interest and objects of happiness changes. At teens, our happiness lies in enjoying materialistic pleasures. The teenagers come into josh and do whatever they feel to be right without thinking about the consequences. During middle age, individuals find happiness in leading a sophisticated life. At fifties, the individual introspects himself that has he experienced true and real happiness till date and the obvious answer is no. After spending major part of his life, the individual realises that what he gets from worldly things is just temporary pleasure not permanent (never ending) happiness.

As our body has physical existence and as it is visible to us our entire efforts are diverted towards providing satisfaction and happiness to it.

Our body gets satisfied with worldly pleasures considering it as real happiness. But our soul doesn't get satisfied with such pleasures.

The question arises what is this real happiness which the soul is in search for?

·          It is beyond the material world.

·          It has no restrictions and limitations.

·          It is neither affected by external factors nor by our internal feelings.

·          It keeps on increasing forever.

·          It is a state of clear, stable and steady mind.

·          It is the basic need of every soul.

·          It is immortal.

·          It is incompatible.
